A new bastion of bling has opened on the ever-burgeoning Fumin Lu. This one is called Fame and if you’ve ever been to its sister club, Richy, in Fuxing Park you’ll have a good idea of what to expect here. Lots of flash, lots of neon, and lots punters all too eager to show their status. Scantily-clad dancers strut their stuff on elevated platforms. But,  unfortunately, floor space is limited. So, in spite of the classic 70’s camp on the sound system, dancing is merely a spectator sport here. Instead, we suggest kicking back with a bottle. RMB680 gets you a table and an entry-level bottle and you can cut it with mixers for about RMB35. Got a fear of commitment? Cocktails clock in at around RMB60-70. Fruity concoctions like the Zombie and the Snowball appear to be their specialties.

Daily 8.30pm-2am. Domestic cards only. 83 Fumin Lu, by Yan'an Lu (6289 9777) 富民路83号, 近Ñ”安路
