Banned from every bar and nightspot north of Niagara, this psychedelic duo is set to tear down Shanghai. Having played together in the late 90s, the pair reformed in Germany, of all places, and played a series of sporadic tours around Krautland and Spain. Described as ‘fucking blood brothers, man,’ their on stage camaraderie and hyper stimulated energy is a sight to see. Seriously though, there really isn’t enough hyperbole to describe the sheer awesomeness that King Khan & BBQ are set to deliver...if they turn up. Their recent US tour missed three stops due to the band manager being charged for possession of a ‘controlled substance’ (shrooms), whilst driving with an invalid license. However if they show, expect the drink to flow and the crowd to roar as you’re hit by a tidal wave of mish-mashed rock and uninhibited energy. Tickets are RMB 60.
